Counselling: Based on NEET rank, candidates participate in the Haryana NEET UG State Counselling to secure seats under State Quota or Management Quota.
Required Documents: NEET admit card, mark sheets, identity proofs, category/domicile certificates (for state quota), and others as specified during counselling.

Service Incentive Bond

Haryana follows a Service Incentive Bond Policy for MBBS seats wherein graduates may have to commit to government service or pay a bond if they choose not to serve. The bond amount can be in the tens of lakhs (often around ₹25–30 lakh, with a concession for female candidates).

Plan Financially: Compare fees, hostel charges, and additional costs before selecting a college.

Prepare Early: Competitive NEET scores increase your chances at prestigious government colleges.

Stay Informed on Counselling Dates: Haryana DME typically releases counselling schedules after NEET UG results.

With clear eligibility requirements and structured counselling, students can find programs that suit both their academic goals and financial plans.

What is the Haryana MBBS bond policy for government colleges in 2026?

If you get into a government medical college in Haryana, there is a “Service Incentive Bond” of ₹30 Lakhs. Don’t let the big number scare you—the government actually pays this amount for you in the form of a loan while you study. In return, you just need to serve in a government hospital for 5 years after your degree. If you choose not to serve, only then do you have to pay the bond amount. It’s basically a way to ensure the state has enough doctors while keeping your education affordable.

How many MBBS seats are available in Haryana for the 2026 session?

Haryana currently offers around 2,710 MBBS seats across its 17 medical colleges. This is split between 8 government colleges (with about 1,060 seats) and several private and government-aided institutions like MAMC Agroha. Because competition is high—with over 55,000 students applying—we recommend keeping a close eye on the merit list and participating actively in all counseling rounds.

Can students from other states apply for MBBS in Haryana private colleges?

Yes! While 85% of seats in government colleges are reserved for Haryana residents (domicile), private medical colleges in Haryana are open to everyone. 50% of the seats in these private colleges fall under the “Management Quota,” which students from any part of India can apply for. All you need is a valid NEET score and to participate in the Haryana state counseling conducted by DMER.
